Galería de Arte Patricia Ready

This art gallery is located in a garden neighborhood in transformation to a mix of commerce and services. The project frees the corner of the block with a sculpture patio for public access. The works of art can be seen from the street mediated by a series of corks, ginkos, walls and water mirrors. The main room, the lower room, the cafeteria and the bookstore are arranged in an L shaped plan, surrounding the patio with a continuous glazed enclosure. The roof with shed skylights allows natural lighting or complete blackout. At night, this one floor thick mechanical ceiling behaves like a translucent lamp that illuminates the rooms and the patio.
