House in Morrillos
This project is on a dune by a long beach. The project is conceived following two models: the motel —an ensemble of self-sufficient rooms with double access— and the cabin —a centralized communal space—. A set of 4 rooms come together in a shared central kitchen, forming a larger compact structure enclosed by mobile panels, which open different possibilities of use according to their position.
The house is enclosed by 72 wooden doors. When opened outward they frame the horizon while they block perimetral circulation. When closed, they protect from the wind and views while they enable a second entrance to the rooms through a perimeter porch. Closing doors open common uses.
